Hi there, my name is Sam Thompson and welcome to my new blog. I’m 39 years old and live in Cambridgeshire. I’ve wanted to start this blog for some time, mainly as a diary but also to share my hobbies and interest with the world. You may guess by the name of the site that I’m a huge Transformers fan, it was a huge part of my childhood and I’m now a very avid collector of old and new transformer toys and figures. A lot of this blog will revolve around my collection but I also hope to share past and present experiences, hobbies I’m involved in and anything else I feel may be of interest to you all. I hope you enjoy reading, I look forward to your comments and feedback.

Work: I work in the Graphics and Communications Department in a company in St Ives and have done since I left school.
Education: My job has allowed me to go on many college courses to learn lots of new skills, IT modern apprenticeship, graphics design courses, web design courses, marketing, and I’m currently learning Spanish.

Hobbies and interests:
Transformers: the Transformers franchise has been a huge interest of mine since I was about 6 years old, I can still remember being bought the cartoon film and watching it for the first time. I have loved them ever since and a few years ago I started to collect original and new versions of the toys and figures, it has cost a lot of money but I am really proud of what I have collected so far.

Star Wars: This is probably my most beloved movie franchise and another subject that has been extremely close to my heart for many years.

Football: (Manchester United fan), Committee member for my local football team: Somersham Town FC.

American Football: (Miami Dolphins fan) I’ve liked the NFL for many years but after my trip to Miami in 2005 I’ve been a huge Dolphins fan.

Films and TV: I go to the cinema most weeks with friends and really enjoy it, I love watching TV shows, some of my favourites include 24, House and The Newsroom.

Travelling: I’ve not been on long travelling trips around the world but I have been lucky enough to go on some very good holidays including visiting, Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Mexico, Detroit, Dominican Republic and more recently city breaks in Europe including Slovakia, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid and Prague.

Gadgets: I’m a massive gadget nerd, own most things Apple, anything technical and fun I want it.

Music: I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of one type of music, I have a very wide range and I put this down to my parents having such a diverse music collection. Two bands I grew up with and still love today are Level 42 and Huey Lewis and the News, both of who I was lucky enough to see in concert at Wembley.
